Fierce wind storms blew through the West Newton, PA area on April 16, 2010 causing the moderate wind damage to the United Presbyterian Church of West Newton. The severe wind storms caused gable end of the church building roof to blow out. Once the gable end blew out secondary damage was caused to the roof, pipe organ, and interior finishes.
| GuideOne Insurance and GuideOne Taylor Ball Construction were notified of the wind damage on April 21, 2010 and arrived on site that evening to begin addressing the churches needs. United Presbyterian Church hired GTB for the reconstruction with mitigation beginning immediately. Reconstruction is expected to take 4 to 6 months. |
