May 10, 2010 – Tornados exploded across the state of Oklahoma and through the Southwest corner of Oklahoma City, causing millions of dollars in property damage not to mention the loss of life. The Friendship Pentecostal Church was not spared from the multiple tornados and subsequently suffered severe structural damage to its campus.
During GuideOne's calling efforts, contact was made with the Friendship Pentecostal Church. Immediate triaging of their property damage was completed to determine the severity of the loss. GuideOne Insurance and GTB catastrophic resources were dispatched to Friendship Pentecostal Church with resources arriving on site within four (4) hours of the initial phone contact.
Upon arrival on site, GuideOne Insurance and GTB met with church officials and within a 12 hour period were able to set up storage units, begin water mitigation, order a generator to get power to the undamaged building, begin service on HVAC units to the gym, have dumpsters delivered, order and secure a structural engineer report, and work with the power company when they arrived on site and convinced them to turn the power on in the undamaged building even though that was not their work.
Experiencing the immediate progress and seamless workmanship between GuideOne and GTB; the Friendship Pentecostal Church retained GTB to complete the reconstruction of their campus.
