Following a fire which destroyed the large Sanctuary Building which was constructed in 1918 at First Baptist Church of Jasper which is located in Jasper, Texas Guide One Taylor Ball was on site the following day with representatives from the Insurance Company. Then existing building had a Sanctuary on the upper level and Fellowship Hall with Kitchen in the lower level.
Over the next six months the Team of Owner, Architect and Contractor worked to complete a design that met the needs of the Church and was within the limitations of the budget. The Church was represented by a building committee who were very active in the design process.
Following the establishment of a final budget GTB solicited trade bids and proceeded with the construction of the new facility.
The new facility included a Sanctuary, Family Life Center with basketball court and full Kitchen and an Education Wing which is used as a day are center. Also a remodel of the existing Education Wing was included much of which was converted to Church Office space. The final building contained 35,000 square feet. The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) was 5,600,000 and final costs were under the GMP.
